Parksville Academy of Performing Arts may take photos, videos, and recordings of students and activities to celebrate achievements and promote our programs. By registering for classes, courses, or events, I give permission for images, video, and/or audio of myself and/or my child(ren) to be used without compensation for marketing and promotional purposes, including social media, the Academy website, advertising, press releases, flyers, brochures, and other printed or digital materials.*

Parksville Academy of Performing Arts will not use a student’s full name in association with photos or videos. I waive the right to review or approve these materials before publication and release the Academy from claims relating to their authorized use.*

If you do not wish to have your child photographed or recorded, please notify Parksville Academy of Performing Arts directly.*

Our theatre program is a place to learn, create, build confidence, make friends, and work together as a team. Every student plays an important part in the success of the class and our final production. By participating, students agree to follow these expectations.*

Bullying or harassment in class or out of class  will not be tolerated and we take all reports of such behaviour seriously. Definition of Bullying:

Bullying is any intentional and repeated behavior that causes harm, distress, or fear to an individual or group. This behavior may include physical, verbal, or emotional abuse, exclusion, or manipulation.*

If a student is unable to attend, a parent/guardian or the student must notify the teacher by email or text as soon as possible. Whenever possible, please provide advance notice rather than notifying us after the class has started. We understand that illness, family emergencies, school commitments, and unexpected situations happen. However, if a student misses more than five classes or rehearsals, we may need to reconsider or adjust their role in the production.*

Students are expected to:

• Listen carefully to instructions.

• Avoid talking over instructors or other students.

• Participate when asked.

• Be willing to try, make mistakes, and learn.

• Respect rehearsal time and the work of the rest of the cast.
